There are many kinds of stainless steel surfaces, and each has its own representation.

Commonly used stainless steel surfaces are: 8K, 2B, BA, NO.4, HL, etc. The following are the stainless steel surface states and its representation.

1.8K

8K surface is 8K mirror plate. 8K stainless steel mirror plate is divided into many kinds, its process is machine and manual grinding. The glossy mirror condition obtained by repeated grinding with a polishing wheel. Used for special equipment inside and outside walls, decoration, etc.

2. 2B

2B is the matte surface, also called 2B matte surface, which gloss is stronger than NO.2D. 2B stainless steel is soft, its hardness HV (Vickers hardness) in 150-200 degrees. Sorted into 2B surface, matte surface, bright surface, BA surface, 6K, 8K, BA, the mirror (including BA). Often used in building materials, kitchenware, etc.

3.  BA

BA stainless steel strip represents ordinary stainless steel with bright treatment, white light. BA bright as a mirror and has high reflectivity surface. Surface processing through bright annealed. Commonly used in building materials, kitchenware. etc.

4. NO.4

Intermediate grinding, that is the oil grinding surface, with 150-180# strop grinding belt for 2B and other materials to obtain polished surface. A bright surface with specular reflection and visible grains. Commonly used in mechanical equipment frame, elevator car, all kinds of tanks and so on.

5. HL (drawing surface)

The product with grinding pattern is produced by continuous grinding of the polishing belt with appropriate particle size. HL is one of the surface grades of stainless steel. HL is brushed on stainless steel surface, straight drawn matte. Hairline grinding suitable particle size abrasive material for hairline grinding (150-240#).
